A guy who works for me bought a new truck and put the B&W turnover ball w/Companion hitch set up in it. He wasn't thinking and hooked up to his trailer that was being used with a slider hitch, so it had a wedge welded under the pinbox. By the time he got to work (mostly a straight shot in) the Companion hitch was twisted, bent and basically beat to hell. He even bent the bottom of his truck bed.

The great thing about the hitch is it didn't fail! I can't imagine a scenario where a hitch would be abused worse than that.

After witnessing this, I have the most confidence in my hitch!

B&W is the bomb.. I have one for my 5er. piece of cake and vertially impossible to screw up.

641,000 miles on my B&W will I replace it? Only when I buy a new truck. Then I'll have two.

2012 DODGE RAM 3500 4X4 LB, 6.7 CUMMINS, G56 6 SPEED TRANSMISSION, 373 DIFF GEARS, B&W Companion 5TH WHEEL, Firestone Airbags, 115 GAL EXTERNAL FUEL TANK, EVERTHING ELSE IS STOCK 40,000 miles to date.
A legal/quality carrier does matter.

The B&W is a great hitch and covers two uses by design,the company rep is with out a doubt great.
Having said that there are many very satisfied owners of other brands that have had as much great service out of theirs.
I have had my x16 RBW for ten plus years & it works as good as it ever did & gets a lot of use so the beauty is in the eye of the beholder!JMHO jb
