Manuel indicates that I can use the City Water Hook Up(in the utility compartment)to fill the fresh water tank, but I must first bypass the water pump. I can find the water heater bypass and another turn off valve near the water pump but neither seem to bypass to fill the tank. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Usually a valve at the city water conn. to turn for fresh water tank fill. Check again.

Hello...sounds to me like the dealer short changed you on the walk through..they should have gone over the basics, with you....anyway..don't know about Fleetwood, but my Winnebago, has one valve located in the service bay that has two positions..."normal use" and "tank fill"...ontank fill, water flows directly to the fresh water tank...nothing else to do.R

I have an older fleetwood than yours but there is a valve in the same compartment that you hook up the "City" water hose. Hook the hose up then turn the water on and then you turn that valve to "Tank Fill" and the water goes directly to the tank. When done be sure and turn the valve back to it's original position. One other thing to do is if you have a "gravity fill" opening on the outside of the RV is to take the water cap OFF to allow the air to escape while the water is going into the tank. Also observe when the tank is nearing full so you can turn the water OFF before you overfill and expand the tank. Personally, I never use the "City" water fill to fill my tank. I always use the gravity fill and stay right there and observe when the tank gets full. Just the way I do it and have been for 12 years, works for me.

Agree with dealer short changing you. A good dealer will spend time walking you through everything, and answering any and all questions, especially for someone new to a RV. Most will even take you out and show you things about handling a new rig.
Our dealer went through everything on our new to us Rig, and explained everything in "if you do/or don't do this, here is what it will cost you" terms. MUCH easier to understand, and in the last 9 years, we have found out that he was right!! Especially in what it costs.

I also have the 34B Bounder Classic. There is a sticker on the utility door that gives instructions as well as the instructions in the manual, but I cannot find the bypass valve. The dealer mentioned it on the walkthrough, but there were a lot of things mentioned on the walkthrough too. I will ask my dealer when they are open next week, but hated to admit defeat without researching on my own.

Great info! Thanks for all the tips. I called the dealer and they seem to think the model might not be able to fill from the City Hook Up and my owner's manuel is for a few different model Fleetwood coaches. I prefer to fill on the gravity side but could have used the City Hook Up fill this last weekend. Guess every coach may be slightly different. Wished they had a specific manuel for just my coach.

Hard to rag on the dealer without knowing everything. My dealer gave me a very good walk through that lasted over an hour, but I can assure you I didn't remember everything. I still had to go back to the manual.
To the OP: Like others said there should be a valve real close to the hose inlet. Simply hook your hose to the city water inlet and turn the water on. Make sure all the faucets are closed and your system will pressurize. Then start turning levers in the compartment and when you hit the correct one you will be able to hear the water start to flow into the water tank. Maybe the label fell off or something. On my Tropical the only way to fill the fresh water tank is through the city water inlet. I have a valve right next to the inlet and one way the hose pressurizes the internal system and flip it the other way and the water tank fills. Yours should be close to the same.

When you are done filling your water tank, make sure you turn the valve off. If not you will not have much pressure in your faucets.
