anyone know if it's ok to park overnight at walmart near bismark nd. passing through there around july 4th coming from glacier NP heading home to pittsburgh through minneapolis. need a place for 5 or 6 hours sleep. any suggestions?
Go to walmart.com, hunt up the store location, call, and ask to speak to customer service. Then ask if it's ok.
It's usually ok unless it's a WM with limited parking, or in a tourist area with a lot of RV parks, who have succeeded in getting overnight parking prohibited. Bismark doesn't strike me as either one, LOL.
But call and ask closer to the date.

Seems to have two Wal-marts which allow Overnight stays, but wouldn't hurt to call to be sure in June. www.allstays.com Map

If you are going by Medora, ND, check out Buffalo Gap campground in the Little Missouri National Grassland. Easy on/easy off, flush toilets, hot showers, and more. The fee was $6/night and it is one of the sweetest campgrounds we found along I-94 (including private ones). Give it high marks.
