The gas valve on my Atwood electronic ignition water heater is leaking a very small amount of LP.....is there anything short of replacing the valve that can be done to correct the leak.
Thanks in advance for any advice.....this forum has been a great help to me in the past.

Had the same problem. Propane was seeping out of a small weep hole on the back underside of the valve. The only real option is to replace it. Relatively inexpensive.

I soaped the valve and the only propane leak is from the orifice.....I'm guessing the valve is sticking from lack of use.

LP valves are not servicable. Replace only. Seeping thru the orifice on an OLDER Atwood water heater is a common problem. Doug
