Which is the best RV park in RGV?
I realize there is no correct answer to this question but wouldn't it interesting if there were some way to compare?
For instance, if we could assign a "point value" to ALL the various considerations then put all the parks on a spreadsheet and see how their point values stack up to each other. A monumental task, to say the very least, but interesting to think about. I don't know, maybe I have too much free time on my hands.
Anyway, we just arrived in the RGV last Sunday for our second, hopefully of many, visit. Thrilled to be here, it's 28 degrees back home in Missouri today, but somewhat disappointed with the park we chose to stay in this year for two months. A pretty good value I think but the sites are VERY small and close together. Lots of good activities though so I guess being a little cramped is a small price to pay. You know what they say, "some people would complain if they were hanged with a brand new rope".
Chime in folks, would love to here your thoughts.
Happy to be in the RGV!!!!!!

"Best" is subjective - way too many parameters to consider. Take the time to look around while you are here and you may find just what you want. There are over 500 RV Parks in the RGV!! More likely, tho, is that you will have to settle for the park with the most items on your want list - I doubt seriously if you can fine a single one with everything you desire. We are in Bit-O-Heaven, Donna TX - if you are in the naborhood, stop by.

The first task is to define "best". It can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. If it were that simple there would be little business anywhere else.

Best park in the Valley to me means a park I would recommend to a friend that has never been down here. My recomendation is and always has been the same, Casa del Valle on Alamo Rd in Alamo is the one park I would hinge a friendship on. Very nice park, concrete slabs, good size lots, nice amenities, nice people and the price is good for everything you get.

You will have to go back they are worth it.

We happened to be leaving at the time you drove up and I briefly talked to your wife and she mentioned you had learned about it from the RV.Net Forum.

Is there anywhere online where we can pull up all or most of the parks mentioned and do a side by side comparison a few at a time? That would sure make a lot of sense to me and would give us all something to help us make our own decisions. Just a thought.
