We love our Spree, no major problems to speak of. Your profile says Niagara, if that refers to the Niagara Region (ON,Canada) and you found your Spree at Niag. Trailers then you have even less to worry about. They are truly fantastic and stand behind wht they sell.

I don't recall ever seeing anyone post a problem with that system on this forum or the KZ forum.

A friend of mine has a Spree and did have an issue with the rear slide mechanism, but he did the repair himself and life is good again. I would have to check with him to recall what the exact issue was.

We had a KZ Frontier for 7 years and had very good luck with it. The Frontier line was replaced by the Spree model and a new rear slide style. Personally, I liked the Frontier style. Yeah, it was a manual slide, but less components to worry about and very sturdy. But the king slide in the Spree is sweet compared to the Queen style in the Frontier.

One big advantage I liked with KZ was the ability to walk pretty much anywhere on the roof. Made cleaning a breeze. But just an FYI, do not attempt to walk on the roof over the rear slide box.

Purchased my KZ new in '08 and had a lot of issues that seemed common to all KZ's at that time. Repaired minor issues mysef and the dealer fixed the rest. Was real happy with the unit but, real unhappy that it didn't have a rain gutter on the awning side. Was the biggest complaint of all owners. Mine had a leak from the awning over the door. No amount of caulking could stop it. I finn
ally found a combination rain gutter and awning rail. Replaced it myself with no problem. My rail was a two piece and was leaking at the split , so it was easy to replace one piece at a time without removing the awning. Best money I spent so far. Slide is on one side (kitchen and couch) and hasen't given any problems yet. Since your buying used, the little problems are taken care of. Look out for the reason it's bieng sold. Good Luck.

I hate to rain on a parade but my 2008 KZ Spree was nothing but problems from new until it was totaled by the insurance company as the frame twisted and bent.

KZ would not stand behind a 4 year old frame. I was told it had a two year warranty. Check the frame before you buy.

Why would KZ pay for something that was covered by your insurance company? If your insurance paid then I'm to assume you caused the damage to it and it was not a warranty issue?

I have had two KZ camper now and both of them have been great and the one I own now is a 289KS.

Our first TT was a 289KS and we loved it, especially the long upper bunks which were great for our 6'5" 16 year old....very hard to find bunks that would fit the freakazoid.
The only issue we had was that the motor that drives the rear slide pulled itself off it's mount. Make sure those slide cables have been properly adjusted.
KZ was great throughout the repair process, so I have problems recommending the trailer.

Enjoy.
