Rambling Pines is closer to where we want to go in Baltimore. Any other complaints other than pets then? We don't travel with pets. Sounds like they run a tight ship which is okay by us. We've had some bad experiences with people who don't control their pets.
They look like it would be toddler grandchild friendly with the activities.
First law of science: don't spit into the wind.
Keep on rollin'!

It has been several years since we stayed there, but we had no major complaints. Our last 2 trips we stayed at Cherry Hill, but the friends we visit in the area have recently moved much closer to Rambling Pines. It is a straight shot into Baltimore from there. The drive to the Metro to do into DC is not as easy to get to.

Thanks, Shawna. I noticed it was a much easier shot to the Baltimore area where we'll be visiting. What about the electrical hookups? Any problems?
The pics of the park look okay but one reviewer talked about the "rude" people who operate it. Could have been a crank reviewer and in those cases of alleged rudeness, I've noticed that there are always two sides to a story.
Rambling Pines Is just OK. Been there once never returned. One of those places with one regular too many. I live about 8 miles away from RP
I will say it is OK for a Baltimore base camp. If you are coming from the west or need to be on the western side of Balto. It was clean enough and managed well enough. If anything it is over managed. I appreciate a tight ship but there is also a point where things can be over bearing. RP flirts with that line. It's debatable if transients (non regulars) are really welcomed.
Electric and water were fine.
Again if RP is convenient to where you need to be. Go for it. RP will be adequate for a short stay.

We have stayed there a couple of times. Always had electrical problems. Low voltage when everyone is running their hot water heaters on electric while the A/C is running. Some circuits wired backward.
My daughter did enjoy playing bingo at night.
Note: a large portion of this campground is seasonal sites. About 1/3 of the sites they have available are really "overflow" sites that don't have much shade. They do have hookups though.

We didn't have any problems with staff while we were there. There were quite a few regulars that came in on Friday afternoon and left Sunday afternoon. I don't remember us having any electrical problems while we were there. Our site was nice enough. I think we had to level a bit, but that is not unusual. We have stayed at much worse!
