I hope this is the right place for this topic,

My woman got me to thinking about an idea for a little more room in the shower. I am looking to Buy or build an Arched Shower Curtain Like you would see in a Holiday inn hotel bathroom.

I love the fact that i can actually stand up in my new TH's shower (I'm 6'1") but the room from the wall is something to be desired.

your thoughts or ideas?

im thinking if i have to build one the stock mounting location will be will have to be beefed up slightly to hold the weight out to the side and i was thinking possibly thin wall pipe from an exhaust shop with a few bends in it

I bought one for the house at the local hardware store. I can't use one in our Southwind. The one I bought is expandable.
I know you can build one but, sometimes it's just easier to buy one. It was about $29.00, you can probably find them cheaper.

I had the same problem. Just too narrow across the shoulders. I opted for a shower curtain that has a cord you can attach to the wall opposite your shower. It "pulls" the curtain out from the shower area enough to give some added room inside the shower enclosure. Can't recall where online I bought it, but it's a cheap and fast solution to a common problem. It worked for me anyway. Hope this helps.......

Hi All.

Well, your a few Days Late, and a Dollar Short, as the saying goes.. These Curved Shower Rods have been around for a very long time now. Here is a link to just one. There are many types and lengths to choose from, and also different colors, and different prices.

Here's the product twodog is referring to:
http://www.thetford.com/HOME/PRODUCTS/ConvenienceProducts/ExpandableShowerCurtain/tabid/190/Default.aspx
They sell it at amazon and probably elsewhere too:
http://www.amazon.com/RV-Expandable-Shower-Curtain-70/dp/B0052G0HGE

Based on a suggestion from someone on this forum long ago, I created my own version of this, and it works great! Simply take two clips (something stronger than a clothespin, the kind like to hold a pile of papers together) and attach a string between them. Then simply attach one clip to the center of the shower curtain (approx. where your waist or elbow would be) and the other end somewhere on the opposite wall to "pull" the curtain out. In my case I happen to have the toilet paper roll on the opposite wall, so I just attach it there.

Works like a charm!

This is what I installed. It works awesome. Gives you lots of room inside the shower, then collapses in toward the shower to give you more room in the bathroom. Also allows you to hang wet garments or towels directly over the the tub.

I also installed one of these in our camper. Works fantastic! One of the best additions so far along with the Oxygenics shower head.

DING DING DING! you are the winner! HAHA thats perfect! as stated above, sometimes its better to just buy rather than build something so easy!

is it stable enough and are the mounts strong enough to hold it in the thin camper walls???
