We have comcast, my wife and I are pretty tired of there outrageously priced service so we were looking at Direct TV, after further research it does seem that comcast is the lesser of the 2 evils.

I am sure that there is some truth in there, but he stated more than once he did not read the fine print. They rarely give equipment to anyone. There are very few services that do not require a contract of a year or so anymore. That insures that they don't install equipment and get no return.

I will say that I am much happier with Direct than I was with my local cable company. Much more "stuff" for less money.

Comcast which does seem competitive is not available in my area.

THat pretty much covers it for me. It would be like someone getting an Android phone from AT&T for $100, cancelling the service, and then wondering why there was such a high cancel fee.

We have been with Direct TV for 15 years and have no real complaints. The price is a little high but so is Dish and Cable.

Same here. And Direct's customer service is much better than our cable company's was.

I've had Direct for about 12 yrs now and never had a problem with customer service. Some of my family switched to Dish for awhile and went back to Direct TV.

We've had DirectTV in the house and RV for several years and have always gotten excellent service. We do pay the small "extended warranty" charge each month so they will take care of anything that goes wrong at no charge to us. Works for me!

We've had DirecTV for several years and have only had one problem. The previous models of the HD DVR had an issue where they would frequently lose the signal on one of the tuners causing programs not to record. They had to send someone out to make sure our dish was still aimed properly before they would replace it.
