Hi All!
I am thinking of attending the Grand Rapids Camper Travel & RV show Feb 2-5 at the DeVos Place. I am looking for some feedback on this show, I would very much like to attend, the drive is 140 miles and want to make it "worth my while" to drive that distance.
I am not at all looking to buy a new coach, so I wouldn't care about RV Dealers there, I am more interested in Campgrounds, Camping and RV Accessories and such and was wondering if this show tends to have that, or mostly RV Dealers selling Units?
Anyone that has attended this show in the past or has any info on it would be greatly appreciated!
Online hype for some of these shows is just that, Online Hype, Thats why I am looking for feedback from People in the Area.
Thanx!

we have been there a couple of times. Once in 2004 when we bought our current TT and two years ago shopping for my brother in law..
The first time is was probably 98% units, and 2% other vendors..
Last time was maybe 90-10.. not too much product that you couldn't find online...
As for units, mostly trailers, maybe 15% class C or A...
It's a decent show in a great location though. and downtown GR has some great restaurants...

From past experience I don't think you should expectmuch at an RV show on CGs. I have found more on CGs at sport and fishing shows. There is always some info to be gotten. There is also an RV show in Battle Creek this weekend. I got a flyer for the Chicago RV show in the mail the other day. The show they used to have at the Silverdome in Pontiac,MI. always had the entrance ring around full of CG displays. It takes a bigshow to have that much.

Morning bsinmich,
Guess you are right, these shows are mostly RV & TT sales, The show in Chicago had wall to wall Rv's & TT's the last 3 years with a little area for accesories and a few CG's.....
Thanx for the Input!

It's a nice show in a great venue.
Looks like there will be 30 booths of campgrounds and RV resorts this year.
If you go to Showspan's Website and click on the "show program and RV line listing" link on the left side of the page it will show a listing of who is in each booth.
