We took the Wolf Creek TC to Quartzsite last weekend to do a little shopping and boondocking. We were shocked at the large number of vendors and swap meets in town. We had a great time in spite of the windy weather last Saturday.

Great post Mike! We want to do Q next year...Will be the first time. Maybe a RV.net Tc get together there could be in the cards. That would be fun.

It's funny you mention that. I've been thinking about organizing a TC Rally in Quartzsite next Winter. I wonder how many RV.NET members would be interested in that?

Mike, Thank you very much for posting your trip report and photos. I have never been to Quartzsite, Does this get together run all year round? Or is the best part in January?

Great question. Since the elevation of Quartzsite is about 900 ft it's far too hot to camp there between May and September. Temperature wise December through March are ideal and that's when you'll find most of the swap meets and vendors in town. If you click on that BLM map link that will take you to the Chamber of Commerce website which lists the dates for all events.

Maybe, somewhere around Oct just do a post and feel it out. Heck even if there was only a couple of rv.net tc'ers showed up it would be fun.
We definitely would come baring a disaster.

That could work for us. We stopped there a few years ago but before the crowds and vendors arrived. I kept meeting Canadians that said they were on the way to Yuma.
