We are in Yuma and are considering coming here for a month next season. Although we are not overly fussy I find the parks very expensive and quite old(rundown). I know there are some better parks and I dont mind paying top dollar for a top park. We don't Golf but my Wife loves to craft. A pool would be nice. We have A 42 ftoot MH and I dont want to be so close to my neighbour that we can share dinner without leaving the unit! We are in Araby Acres and it is a nice facility but the transient sites are all at the front by the road. Extremely noisy. Shangrila is run by super nice people but the sites were made for 20 ft. travel trailers. The ratings @ rvparkreviews are all quite bad for almost every park. Am I asking for the impossible? Any recommendations appreciated.

I wish I knew of the place my friends are at. I know it's out by the foothills and on the north side of the freeway.

several years ago, we stayed out in the foothills at Fortuna de Oro RV park.
it was neat and clean and had a nice pool, library, sauna and small cafe, etc.
an ice cream truck came through periodically.
it was a hundred dollars (a month) cheaper than it is today.
the only bad sites I could see were the ones right up front, beside the interstate.

Cocopah is also very nice and has plenty of features besides the 18-hole golf course, like tennis courts and a huge pool as well as plenty of activities.

Holy cow dude. I think you are stalking us. We left Quartzsite a couple of days ago. We were there for a week in the La Posa LTVA. We saw on our last day (when we got the internet finally) that you were there. Now we are in Yuma and free loading at a casino. Tomorrow we are off to Algodones for a quick trip (need a new belt).

Re your question. Most of the nicer parks here we found were over 55 parks...and of course WE DON'T QUALIFY. But we have stayed a couple times at the cocopah rv park. Although it is golf oriented its actually a nice spot. Big sites, reasonably far apart. We were in there last year with a 45 and two 40 footers with no problem. Check it out with the Toad and see what you think.

You may want to try Fortuna de Oro RV park at the East end of the Foothills on the North side of the Interstate. We stay at a private lot in the area but have some friends that stay at the park. The latest part of the development that was done a few years ago has larger spots that will accommodate 45 FT units with no problem.

J&A: We are returning to Q for some minor repairs tomorrow and then working our way back to Mexico. Cheers.
