I've decided to reterminate ALL the cable ends for the 4 TVs to try to get rid of the snow. I can get the living room and bedroom TVs off their mounts, but I can't see how to get the garage and exterior TVs off.

Help?

I don't know how the exterior TV comes off its mount but it might be like the garage tv? to get the garage tv off, reach under/around/behind the bottom right corner of the tv, there is a push tab on that corner on the bracket, once released the tv lifts straight up off the mount.

Push the exterior TV up and it will come off the wall, at least that is what ours did.

The one in the garage has a release lever on it. Someone here forum where it is, but I forgot to bookmark it or print out the instructions. I think it is on the top right side, but there is one.

In case anybody else has snowy cable I thought I'd document what I've found:

- our RV park has a combination of analog and digital cable channels
- digital works fine but analog very snowy
- the amplifier behind the bedroom TV is the primary cause of snow. With it out of the circuit, the snow disappears on the bedroom TV
- there is a 1:2 splitter behind the main TV. It was wired BACKWARDS (cable input from bedroom amp connected to OUTPUT and main TV was connected to INPUT of the splitter). Correcting that error got rid of the snow on the main TV.
- the garage and exterior TVs are much better but still slightly snowy. There is another splitter somewhere that I need to find and eliminate.
- three of the el cheapo cable connectors fell off - I'm replacing them as I go with proper compression connectors

Finding out how to remove the TVs was one of the big challenges so here's what I found:

1) bedroom TV is easy - it swings out on an arm and you have easy access
2) main TV: remove center speaker bar then lift TV straight up - no latches
3) exterior TV - lift straight up - no latch (there are four nylon "buttons" screwed to the TV that fit into slots on the mount. Quite a bit of force is required to release the TV)
4) garage TV was the most difficult. There is a latch (see photo) that releases the TV then lift straight up. Problem is getting to the latch. Working with a mirror I tried many different approaches with no success. What finally worked was holding the blade of the exact right size screwdriver with two fingers and pushing the handle down between the latch and the wall - presto it's off. Only took me a couple of hours to figure out that one

Hopefully this will save somebody some trouble. If anybody knows where the splitter is for the exterior and garage TVs, please let me know.

good info! thanks for posting!

I was able to reach with my fingers the release for the garage TV but as you state, it was very difficult. Thanks for providing how to remove the other TV's as I am sure I will need this information at some point.

I don't know where the other spliter is, however I have learned that while on cable connection, I need to turn off the amplified antenna (roof antenna) which for me is located just under the main control panel inside the door. If I try to use the cable TV I get a seriously diminished signal until I turn off the roof antenna amplifier. I assume you have done that but thought I would throw this info in in case others need this info.

Thanks for posting the picture, etc. I printed it out so when I get the trailer out of storage next month I will be able to get both the front and back TV's off the wall. I have to replace the fixed mount in the front with a swivel mount if posible. Can't see the picture very well from the bed unless one is sitting straight up.

Yes, thanks - I would. The one they gave me isn't accurate.
