I bought the system directly from Banks who had it delivered to an installer of their choice. The shop had the rig for two weeks. By the time all was said in done I was just shy of 5K.

Wow 15 mpg, that made my jaw drop. We are new to this, but so far the best I have done is 7.5. Hate to see what it is like towing?

Even with my little 25 footer and a 6 speed auto..the best I get is like 12 going slow on the back roads..usually 9.5 10ish..don't really notice a diff pulling my 2 sleds in a enclosed trailer.

Ours averages between 6.5 and 9, depending on terrain, wind, etc.

My experience has been just the opposite with my new RV. On the old highways with having to go through small towns, my mileage is 1-2 MPG less than on the Interstates where I set the cruise on 65 and only stop for gas.

I was looking into the banks system after that much money my average miles is about 6,000 miles a year, at best maybe saving to get 2 to 3 mile extra would take 40 years at best for payback. I'll live with 8 or 9 miles per gal. My power was never a issue even towing my Sidekick.

Found that staying off the interstates and traveling the old highways through small towns was the best mileage. Slower speeds, 55 mph on highway and posted speeds gave us 9 to 9.5 mpg. Interstate speeds dropped us to 8 mpg. I would say 10 mpg would be absolute tops. No way 15 or 18,,,that's just plain wishful thinking!!!!
