While riding on the passenger side, the side window has an almost mirror effect, meaning it mirrors the opposite side of traffic and landscape. It makes it impossible for me to look out because it is actually nauseating. My husband says while he is driving he can look out his side without this issue. We were on the road for almost three hours, so different positions of the sun. The windows are tinted throughout the coach. Has anyone else ever had this issue, and if so, what took care of it? Anyone have any ideas? I was toying with the idea of finding an anti-glare something, kind of like what people put on their computer screens and such, but no idea if anything exists large enough.
I have the same problem with the drivers side window. I have polarized sun glasses and they don't help. The reflection is not quite as bad as chilibean is experiencing, but it is very bad and really cuts down the visibility and ability to use the mirrors. I feel that the problem is increased by having double paned windows.
The windows are made of tinted glass, if that clarifies. And I do wear polarized sunglasses, always. I actually find it comforting that someone else experiences this, as awful as that sounds, . Hubby was thinking I was nuts. I have not done a thorough internet search yet, but if I come up with anything I will update. hopefully someone has figured something out and will let us know.
tmmar, I just noticed you have a 2008 Forest River as well. We just bought a 2008 Georgetown. Do you think this is just a 2008 Forest River issue?

Ditto! It's a problem only at certain times of the day. Double pane is the issue.

OMG, I am such an idiot!! I got my magnifiers on and it IS a film that was applied to the inside of the window, duh! Apparently it is a very fine job, as my window is the only one you can see a corner just beginning to separate. We do not have double panes, at least I don't think so (can't trust myself now ), but now that I know that, is it advisable to remove it? Does it actually make much of a difference as far as the comfort level? We live in NW Oregon, so the only time we are in a lot of sun is Jan.-April on our yearly southern migration. I do apologize for the misinformation. We have only had this coach a couple of weeks, so I really need to take the time to get to know it.

Sorry for the late response but I just saw your post. No- it is not just a Forest River problem. I had posted this on another site (don't remember which one) and was told that other manufacturers also experienced the problem.
Well, I removed the tinting on the forward passenger window. That helped quite a bit, as I can now see things out my side. However, the problem still exists to some extent. When a hill is next to my side, or the sun changes direction, the mirror-like effect is still there, just not as horrible as before. At least now I can be of some help to the driver in that I can see what is coming. I wish I knew what is causing this.
