I think Cruiser is in Indiana -- the Australians are importing Cruiser, which is a switch (since so many amazing expedition trailers are made Down Under).

Ha ! Yeah....that looks pretty cool to see an American company exporting to a tough market like that. Looks funny to see the slide on the opposite side as ours are.

Same gent that was importing German "Geist" Caravans. He seems to be having as much success as he did with the "Geist", the US trailers are not selling well. Rule of thumb: A RV designed for a certain country and its conditions sells a whole lot better than a "transplanted" model.

Interesting to hear from you 'down under'. What has been your experiences with ( or anybody you know ) with a funfinder down there ? I've watched some of the videos of you guys using your 'caravans' in some very rough conditions......wow....looks totally brutal.

I would love to come down there someday and visit, and do some camping. Looks like an awesome place for someone who loves the outdoors.

Only seen some comments on The Caravanners forum. Comments tend to follow similar ones about European Caravans. The only thing I can say is they are cheap because of the Australian Dollar, that being said new Manufacturers are appearing all the time in Australia(at least 85 manufactuers of Caravans

This group has been around since 2009
On the Move Caravans.
Boat Builders starting building caravans 2011
Haines
Seachange

Horse Float Manufacturer, first Caravans 2010
Otron Caravans
Been around in Caravan business since 1987, started BushMaster Off Road Caravans in 2010.
Bushmaster
Caravans

Rental Motorhome company starts making its small Caravans in 2010.
Tavlor Caravans
Sunliner Motorhomes starts building its unusual Caravans in 2009. Euro design small Caravans with slideouts.
Sunliner Caravans
A 2012 Manufacturer
Next Caravans
There are more manufacturers that are pretty new, but that listing should give you an idea of what is happening

We've taken our maiden voyage in our new trailer, and it went pretty well -- if you have a few minutes, here is a report on the trailer itself:

My new X-139: mostly pros and a few cons

(And if you want to read about our trip to the southern part of Sequoia National Park, please feel free to click on the "trips" link in my signature, below.)

And I guess I will have to update my signature photo -- that's my old trailer in the picture, not the new one!

I really enjoyed reading about your new trailer and those wonderful storage mods.

I spent a lot of time a few months ago poring over your mountain boondocking photos and dreaming of someday camping in places like that. And wondering how on earth you made it to some of them!

Wishing you many more happy trips. Take lots more photos!
