I haven't heard or read a thing going into effect recently that will affect RV'ers. DOT implemented a few things Jan 3rd that will affect interstate commercial carriers and drivers operating with Class A CDL's. If somethings gone into law regarding RV's I need to know about, I sure haven't read anything from DOT about it.

Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!

I believe it was This Post. I wouldn't hit the panic button. I think someone just mentioned being regulated along with gas prices.
Maybe I'm wrong, wouldn't be the first time.

If it's a licensing or safety related item it would be dependent on the state in which you're operating. Not many FEDERAL regulations concerning private travel other than the ones listed on the DOT sticker on your door post.

About the only thing that currently has the potential to make life harder for RVers are licensing issues, created by by the homeland security eyewash, that require proof of domicile. That mainly effects full timers, a small percentage of us, and there are ways around it.

See my comment on that linked post.

If, IF, there was a impending change that would have an effect on RVers, I would have to think that all the Good Sam, FMCA type mag's would be the first to have a write-up about it. I haven't seen a thing......yet.

There is legislation on the table to eliminate the ability to claim the interest on RV's. Currently this works much like second homes and boats. They are talking of doing away with it.
