Our coach has a slide out work station built into the dash for the passenger. It uses what look like standard drawer slides. My problem is the leather is coming off and needs to be glued back on and I can't figure out how to release the slides so I can pull them apart (like removing a drawer from a cabinet). Could not find any obvious releases. Anyone know how to release the slides?
Look for a small lever on each rail. Lift the lever on one side depress the lever on the other rail as you pull the desk top toward you. That is how mine releases. Good luck.
What I found is the slides do not release like a drawer slide. Instead the shelf has two brackets (one each side) that slide down along the slides and lock in place. There are two tabs (one each side) that must be released and the shelf will lift up.
Re-glued the leather to the fiber glass, looks like new.
