We are traveling North in Missouri on Int 55, and trying to find a RV campground near MO Int 55, where Int 255 crosses the Mississippi River to Illinois Int 255. The would be near Telegraph Road in MO.
Any and all information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Jane and Lee

Perhaps you could find a Wal-Mart in East St. Louis. (Just kidding)

Just make sure you research the area you think you want to stay, before you head out and make sure you get there before sundown.

I got into town around 2:00 am and wanted to get gas before heading to a sporting event where I had RV reservations.....gas stations where open but they wouldn't take your money to buy gas even from behind the 4 inch bullet proof glass.

Casino Queen campground is your best bet. It's not that far from there to 255. Just get on I-55 north and you'll run into 255. Good safe campground and close to the city if you want to see it. Also, you can gamble on the Queen if desired.

Not sure what you are looking for, but if you are an Elk, Lodge #2726 is almost at the foot of the Jefferson Barracks Bridge. Maybe a mile off 255/270 crossing into Illinois. They offer a parking lot with electric hook-ups only, BUT the BEST Pork chop dinner (first Friday of each month) for $13.00. And other dinners only on Friday nights. A nice setting (be it not a campground), friendly people, and a full bar.

Hope this helps
