We are planning a week at the end of June and would love recommendations on RI, MA, or southern NH campgrounds w hookups. We live in central CT and need to be within 2.5 hours of home. My husband is a firefighter and will have to return for a 36 hour shift mid week.
Normandy Farms in Foxboro, MA is dynamite.

RI has some great state parks worth checking out - Charlestown Breech Way, and Fisherman's are 2 that I like.

Not too sure on Southern NH, but there's so many great spots in CT, RI and MA - you won't have to head to NH unless you want to.
Sandy Pond
Check out Sandy Pond in Plymouth. Nice lake and small fishing pond with plenty of hiking trails through the woods. We were there last April and it was very peaceful. Bath rooms were dated but we never used them since we had full hook ups.
It is located near the Bourne Bridge, so easy skip to the canal for fishing or biking and Scusset Beach for salt water swimming or cross the bridge to Cape Cod. We like to go here to avoid the cape traffic.
Normandy Farms is great, but no lake, just a small pond for fishing.
We booked 2 weeks at Scusset, but only water and electric and dump station down the road.(no fires, just a communal fire pit).
Cape Cod Resort in Falmouth is on a lake, but sites are cramped.
In the northeast corner of CT is West Thompson Lake Campground, Family campground, wonderful camp hosts, place is heavily wooded with 20 large sites with 8 that has water & electric. Boat ramp at campground, lake is great for fishing, has hiking trails too.
