Greetings,

We got a 27 foot 1995 Fleetwood Flair MH last November and got to use it for two trips; one down to Gulfport, MS for Thanksgiving and one down to South GA for Christmas, before I put it up for the Missouri Winter.

The question I have is about the little table that sits on top of the engine cover. It was broken when we got it and I've tried to glue the wood but I think it's too far gone and would like to either have a new one made or find where to buy one. I've looked at all the RV stores, on line and local, and can't find one, so I thought I'd ask ya'll what, if any, my options are.

Thanks for any help on this matter.

Respectfully,

P.Ford

There is an RV Salvage yard in Missouri on I-44 between Springfield and Joplin. West side of the highway.

Thanks for the replies, I did try RV Salvage yards (Another project is finding a used 'Awing' as our MH as never had one installed) but there are none near me. I'm about 125 miles South of St. Louis just off of I-55 and the one you wrote about (I think is called 'COLAW RV) off of I-44 is on the other side of Missouri from me. Thanks for the offer to make me one but we don't go West very much anymore.
This is one of those "no big deal" items, just thought I'd ask.

Thanks again,

Hey Mr Ford, you must be somewhere around Chaffee, anyhoo, here's a link to a console and there are many different others on E-Bay just search for van console you'll turn up a bunch.

When I had my Mirada it didn't have a console on the doghouse, so I put one of these on it. Sat it on the doghouse, marked where the screws should be. Took off the dog house and drilled the holes. Had the screws, common drywall screws, mounted from the bottom with washers to spread the load, not that it was needed.

Used stand offs made from 1inch dowel pins to make the console set level. Our doghouse sloped from the front to the rear. Everyone that saw it afterwards thought the MH came with it.

Anyhoo here's the link, hope this helps.

Unless you want the original try van conversion shops, we used lots of varieties of doghouse consoles in vans over the years.

Hello Jim,
Yes, I live in Cape, thanks for the heads-up on the 'van console'; I will try places like "Creative Trim or Speed Sport" in Cape.
Thanks again,
P.Ford
