Most big totes are rigged to be slowly towed behind a vehicle.
Actually a Canadian Gallon weights 10lb.
Now I'm even MORE confused!!
Canada and the UK use IMPERIAL Gallons... we use US Gallons...
AN Imperial Gallon is around 4.546 Liters, whereas a US Gallon is only 3.79 Liters.
The real rub is in the Pub...where an Imperial Pint is 20 oz...our US Pint is only 16 oz... Even though our liquid oz measure is slighly larger than theirs...you're still getting shorted on a Pint of Ale here in the US.
Oh... I love when people imply that you should stay away from a big tank because of how heavy they can be when filled... Then don't fill it up all the way, if you haven't had your wheaties!! You can put less is a large tank if you want --- but you can't put more in a little tank...
Get a big tank...just be aware --- it's got to be stored somewhere when you travel.
I agree about the big tank. They are not that bad the bigger ones have four wheels and there is really not any lifting, but rather pulling. Ive had no problem pulling our 35 gallon full from the back end of our camper to our truck over grass and uneven ground. About a distance of 40'.

Is the tire modification an option from Barker, or are they just tires and wheels you get from Harbor Freight and do your self? Also, your rack is interesting, exactly how does it work?

The tires are from HF. The front bracket I made to accommodate the larger tires.
The rack works great. Pull one pin and lower, than pull pin on other side and lower. Roll the tote off and away you go. I tried to sell the idea to Barker but I think it would have to work on a wider range of trailers to make it worth their while.

It would be great if you could post some pics on the mount and dismount pin operation I might just have to do this mod.

Barker Blue Tote-a-long..the #1 selling portable tank, Made in the USA, a family owned business for 57 years, and if you look up the words "Customer Service" in the dictionary it says "Barker"!
Review websites including Amazon.com give the Thetford 3 stars out of 5...the Barker gets 4 1/2 out of 5! The Thetford has a one year warrnty. The Barker has a 2 year...but they bend over backwards with supurb customer service many years later too!
Ours is probably 25 years old, been in continuous use, and when we lost the vent cap, and later broke a wheel (my fault!), Barker sent new ones in the mail free.
THAT's the kind of Company you want to buy from! Get the biggest you can afford, and fit into your cargo area.

I went out and bought a Barker tote, one of the small ones. I used it once at home, then realized that all the campgrounds I go to either have full hookups, or no hookups and no dump station.
So, after the tote sat under the workbench in the shop, gathering a thick layer of dust, for about five years, I cleaned it up and sold it for $15 in a rummage sale.
