Hi there, we have just began camping. We have a fifth wheel, where is a good place to go for our first time with the kids in Maryland? Any suggestions? We wanted a place with full hook ups, and family oriented. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Haven't been there with the grandkids yet, but have heard lots of good things about Frontier Town near Ocean City, MD

We liked the Jellystone in Hagerstown -- lots of kids activities. The Eagles Nest loop is just a big field, but the other sites are nice.

Elk Neck State Park has full hook ups in one of their loops, it has a beach a playground in the loop and several hiking trails. A little further up the road in Gettysburg Pa. there are several campgrounds that are family oriented with planned activities and full hook ups.

Not sure how far you are from Ocean City but we've been to both Frontiertown and Castaways and they're both really nice and perfect if you have kids! We liked the sites better at Castaways but the water park is free if you are at Frontiertown They both have shuttles to the boardwalk and to Assateague which is great!

If you are good with going to the Pan Handle -- Rocky Gap State Park is great with lots to do.

If you go to the beach in the off season it is great but as you know the traffic is lousy most of the time.

Castaways and Frontier Town also get my vote. When you decide to branch out a little, try Cherrystone It's about 2 hours S/O Salisbury on the lower eastern shore of VA. Tons of things for the kids to do.
