If you go to the beach in the off season it is great but as you know the traffic is lousy most of the time.

BOL,

OP wanted full hookups. when I was there, Rocky Gap only had one loop with electric only.

The kids will like Frontiertown the most because of the onsite waterpark and proximity to Ocean City. Our dog prefers Castaways because of the onsite dog beach.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Have you all ever been to Fort Whaley? It is Frontier Towns sister campground, I was reading on the internet that if you like it more peaceful go there, because Frontier Town is bustling all the time...just wondered what that one was like?

Fort Whaly is quieter. Good for the parents and old folks, not so much for the kids. It several miles from town. You do get to use the water park at Frontiertown if you want to drive in. I don't remember if they run a shuttle out of there or not.

There is activity at Frontiertown, but don't let it worry you. I stay there when I go to OC several times a year (couple of friends have condos and we golf) and don't have a problem. It's a beach town. It's closer to the boardwalk, has more stuff for the kids to do, and is a nicer facility.

BOL,

X2 on Rocky Gap. The A loop has electric. You will have to fill your water tank and use your holding tanks.

There are several nice campgrounds in Gettysburg we like.

Yeah, go to Pennsylvania. Lots to do there. Trains and outlets in the Lancaster/Strasburg area and plenty of campgrounds. Only about 2 hours from you.
