bfast54 - no bashing, I don't even own one. I think you're getting worked up over a conversation about construction. I am a tech-geek and love engineering, hence my urge to post the differences. Most people don't care about how things are made, I do
Surely it wasn't intended to offend you. Cheers and have a great day!

Our CC will be starting its 4th year....I immediately replaced the China Bomb tires that came with it, other than that, I had a leaky gray tank valve last year, which was easily fixed by adding a valve at the outlet.
We love our CC Silverback. You can't beat the CC service department.
PS - we are members of the CC RV Owners club, so we hang out with alot of CC owners....there are a few complaints, which manufacturer's lines don't, but most are on their 2nd or 3rd CCs.

I traded a Arctic Fox for a Blue Ridge as it had higher R ratings and in Jan of last year took it to the Phoenix area. Found the unit to be cold and drafty, and not a quality built unit. While the factory service/support was great, the overall quality of the unit was not. I would not recommend a Blue Ridge.

We're on/in our 5th RV. Last 2 have been Cedar Creeks. Factory support is 2d to none. On our 36RLTS (05), I've had to replace the suspension with Equa-flex, ad I had a broken shock. Landing gear motor and a leg replaced (my fault), but help from the factory. No squeaks/leaks and it's probably got a good 30,000 miles on it. Only reason CC 1 was traded for CC2 was the space that Momma saw (and wanted
Would I do another Cedar Creek? In a New York minute.

Can't understand your cold and drafty comments. Are the windows open?
Any trailer is normally sealed quite well unless there are obvious faults as seeing daylight thru cracks or openings.
Ps Blue Ridge is a budget line of the Cardinal

bfast54 quoted "A number of Ceder Creek owners seem to be pretty Touchy about their rigs?????? A Famous phrase comes to mind "Me thinks thou does protest too much".............I wonder why ??????"
Why?? I'll tell you why,the company backs it's product during and after the sale which today is almost unheard of,they build their rigs with what i and obviously other Forest River rig owners consider to be above average quality which translates into longevity and saving money! My wife and i take a lot of pride when someone walks by and compliment us on what a beautiful trailer we have. I am a master carpenter by trade who specializes in finish work and my Daydreamer's interior woodwork is exceptional and i have seen a lot of other trailers and it's my considered opininon that Forest River/Cedar Creek fifth wheel trailers are "Best In Class",i even feel they rival the high end rigs when you consider what you get for the additional cost. We will be buying a new fiver in a four years and you can bet it'll be another Cedar Creek!!

I am a man, but I can change.
If I have to, I guess...
I've had 4 units with slides, so I do know what to look for around the slide seals (for leaks). This was a brand new unit, and no leaks/daylight anywhere. Good friends we go RVing with also have a Blue Ridge (different model) and theirs is also cold and drafty. Coming from a Arctic Fox (which we did not expereince these issues) was a good comparison. Can't speak about other FR products. If you want more info from owners go to the FR forum.
