I use Collinite 885 paste wax. Just as easy to use as liquids, I get 3 waxings out of it (42'11" Revolution). Takes a full day, or 2 half days. I use microfiber towels to apply and remove. I apply 2x a year when I stored our previous rv outside, but now since our new unit is kept indoors I plan on once a year.

Forget the wax and go with Red Max Pro or Zep Floor Wax. Did our front end cap last summer and it still loooks great, and what's more, after traveling the bugs come right off. Last week did the rear, and right over the big decal I put on years ago. Then just for the heck of it I did the area between the windshield and slide on the drivers side as there were black marks at the roof. I thought the sides were shinny enuf but after I did that, there was no question, I've gotta do the sides too. So shinny I can use it for a mirror!

I have a 98 Mountain Aire and I have tried all kind of waxes over the years, last year i used Red Max #3, It took a day to strip the old wax of and 6 hours to put 5 coat on. It look brand new and all I do now is wash, the bugs come off with just washing. Just got back from Florida and wash it down just like new. I will put one more coat on this spring. I'am 78 and one coat take about a hour. I will never use anything but Red Max #3 from now on.

I use 3M boat UV polish and do it by hand. Last year I thought I would use a buffer. To prevent moving the ladder frequently, I would reach way past the ladder. The ladder fell over two times in two days. I don't use the buffer anymore. I'm a quick study.

Thanks for all the good feedback. seems like the products used for boats such as Collinite and also the Nu Finish could work well. However, some suggested Red Max, I see there is even another post about Red Max right now? Is Red Max really for older units showing signeds of fading already? My unit is new and still looks good, trying to keep it that way.
Should I rather go with Collinite or similar? Yes? No?
Thanks for the help so far, seems like many has been there and done that before :=)

Red Max is a floor finish product, not a paint restoration/protection product. Some people choose to use it on their motor homes exterior.

Yep -- in the process of doing this now - Nu Finish. Do about a 10' section at a time. Next ( and hardest ) will be the wheels.
Old boy looks great - arms, can still feel them - wax on, wax off!!
