On my south return in August we will stay in Hood River then head south back to CA. Looking at 35 and 26 to Madras then to Bend. Any problems with this route driving 35ft A with CR-V?

35 climbs steadily but not steeply to the junction with 26, without sharp curves. 26 to the SE feels a little more gentle, and may have more 3-4 lane stretches. The low point is near Warm Springs where it crosses the Descutes River. So it climbs back up to Madras, but I haven't driven that last bit in a while. Last time I took the route I took a narrower more curvy road along the river past an RV resort. 26 is the main route from Portland to the east side of the Cascades, so has a lot of truck and RV traffic.
