Whether the dealership lied or not it is very simple for the driver to check when he arrived...he did not check the field when he arrived

Why did you not move it home? I, like many pay money ($96.00 in my case) to have my RV stored since I can not keep it at home.
I can't see how you expect them to pay for your personally caused problem.
You really need to go back and read the OP. Not his trailer, he was hired to do a job. He should also have checked the field before driving out on it and he needs to get his truck fixed if he was getting a dollar a mile, drove 71 miles and used $30.00 in fuel.

I think you are making an assumption. How much time passed between the arrangements made and the delivery, I don't know? Dry field, wet field, it can change in one hour.

It's very simple. Go into the dealer and ask to see the bill from the tow truck company. If the bill was for $71 or more, then it's your problem. If the bill is for $50 then they owe you $21. If they don't have a bill then they owe you $71. It the bill was for $100 be happy they don't ask you for $29. I bet you learned a lesson, walk the field first.

So, I guess to most posting in this thread that this doesn't place any responsibility on the dealer? What was he supposed to do when he got to the field, leave the TT outside? Turn around and take it back? I can just hear everyone now... "You did not perform the task you were hired for...".
You can always try small claims court. Based on your post you would recover your money there.

The right thing to do would of been to call the dealer and ask what they wanted to do with the trailer since the field was wet...

You're absolutely right. I love people on this forum that jump to conclusions without having ALL the facts.

You're delusional.
And also foolish enough to print libelous remarks on a public forum!
It's only libelous if it's not true, also i've come across dealers that i wouldn't p@@@ on them if they were fire and i could have probobly saved a lot of money had i seen a negative post regarding that dealership that would have given me a heads up about their devious buisness practices. The opposite is just as important, for instance,i recently had some dealings with the crew over at Camping Connection Clicky Thingya i cant say enough good things about them, exellent sevice and pricing, and you can tell they really care about what they do,very rare these days! I find that our hobby/lifestyle's products sometimes aren't built as well as they should and dealerships don't act responably as they should and the only defence we as consumers have is word of mouth amongst ourselves!

I'm glad you know it to be true, since you were obviously there. The rest of us weren't, so we're obviously at a disadvantage........
