I was curious if the cost of a non-resident MN fishing license was still high. a 7 day license is $28.00, 24 hour 8.50. I buy annual non-resident licenses for about $30-35 in PA, etc.

I don't like being taken advantage of. the MN rates are much higher than what I am used to. Like I said, in PA you can get an annual license for $30 or so. that beats the heck out of $28.00 for a week doesn't it? and then you gotta put up with the MN state bird, the mosquito.

Lots of nice lakes AND FISH up here.... We love out-of-staters

Back to the OP's topic. I'll give you 2 that I know of first-hand.

Diasy Bay Resort in northern MN almost to Ely, MN. Lake Vermillion is a great multi-fish big lake. Love this resort and have been many times. They do have a campground and boat/motor rentals.

Huddles Resort on Leech Lake. Another great lake that has plenty of fish. Huddles has 3 RV sites, boat/motor rentals. Plus the owner does ski and tube rides for the kids. They also have a nice beach. This is a full-service cabin oriented resort, but you get all the ammenities while paying only for the RV site....

If you do decide to come up here, have fun!!!
