I haven't read all 6 pages of this thread but my biggest concern is why in the world do they put carpeting right at the door? Give me a little spot of tile or vinyl at the door to catch the dirt that you can't help but bring in on your feet.

I know Skyline makers of Aljo, Nomad, Koala & other trailers does exactly that. Each trailer has weight plate stamped and attached. It's the weight of the trailer and includes all the options that were factory added.

I'm not sure they can put the real weight since each trailer may have different options added at the factory. That said, they should add the pounds of each option they mention in their brochure. Also, what a filled 20# LPG bottle weights, and what the weight of the battery they put in the TT.

If they would just put those numbers in the brochure, it would help a great deal.

I'd be happy if they put the real as built weight on the sticker. Manufactures should buy a set of scales and as the final step in the build get the actual four corner weights.

Just my opinion.

i agree how hard is it too set a rv on a scale and weight it as it goes out the door those of the tc crowd would greatly apperciate this step

Please NO MIRRORS, I know my MH is small, putting mirrors up inside is not fooling me that it is bigger. They are ugly.

Handle your warranty claims instead of referring the customer to an outside vendor. A few years ago I had problem with axles on my TT and Gulf Stream said that was covered by Dexter Axle and they could do nothing for me. Won't be buying from Gulf Stream again.

When we buy our trailers we get as little carpet as possible (Jayco gives option). I would rather wash a throw rug than put up with a stained carpet or worn one. Vinyl wares much better in the woods and sand where we go.

Sewer Hose storage already built in to the RV. To handle 10/20 ft hose. Also not in same compartment with fresh water connection.

A surgeguard system ( or alike mfg. device) installed as standard equipment.

More outlets both 12V and 120V. Seams they always put them where not needed.

Option to have carpet or no carpet in all of RV.

On the trailers it would be nice if they could increase the size of the "sewer hose" bumpers to 5" with a plastic liner. Then we could really use them.

They are much to big on the outside and too small on the inside. Stupid that they cannot do something about that.

Don't know what percentage of folks drycamp -vs- stay at FU CGs, but having the TT/5er set up for 4 batteries would be nice.

We drycamp mostly, and our 5er has a battery bay big enough to fit four 6-volt batteries, but the way the racks are set up, along with the size and location of the access door make it impossible to fit more than 2 batteries.

If I had to make one specific suggestion to RV makers for quality improvement, I would probably ask the ones who use rubber/EPDM roofs to use properly applied EternaBond on all roof joints and seams from the factory, and use caulking as a secondary measure to keep the EB edges from getting dirty as opposed to being the primary/only means of keeping water out.

I wonder what other people's suggestions would be.

Ditto. If RV manufacturers could only afford to make one change, this would be it. Water tight roof and seams that have Eternabond or its equivalent in durability and strength.

A ceiling to floor closet to accommodate those long items of clothing such as full coats and longer dresses would be icing on the proverbial cake. Doesn't have to be very wide at all.
