Ahh, Too Funny. Now the truth comes out that the USA is corrupt the same as Mexico....but it costs you a visit to the court house and the money. LOL. Oh..Mexico is so corrupt! But at least it is cheap.

Come on people, everyone knows the U.S. isn't corrupt they just have loopholes, corruption only happens in third world countries like Mexico.

Cool, so the guy driving the porsche gets his daily ticket on the way to work, sends his secretary out to pay the ticket in the "right" county, his insurance rates stay low and he drives as fast as he wants and how he wants with impunity, the county gets rich and everybody wins. Well except for the working class schmuck who gets caught, has to pay his fine, sees his insurance go up and can eventually lose his license with too many repeat offences. Seems fair...

My reading of the survey brings a different conclusion.

Highest ranked Guyana has a 32.3 % who think a bribe is justified.
So even in Guyana the majority of people 67.7 % think a bribe IS NOT justified.
Most people in every country feel bribes are not right.

The bureaucrat creates the loophole, the bureaucrat collects money for their government department, the bureaucrat now has job security. Not much different than Mexico is it?

smug
smuhg
adjective, smugĀ·ger, smugĀ·gest.
1.
contentedly confident of one's ability, superiority, or correctness; complacent.
2.
trim; spruce; smooth; sleek.

The longer I live in Mexico the more I feel this about some who comment on boards regarding Mexico. I think there are really good people out there with good intentions but somehow this quality still seems to push through.

Randy Cuninham, Congresman or Senator from CA, comes to mind, he is in jail, we have a few council members, from San Diego, who accepted "MORDIDA", from some low lifers from Las Vegas, they are in jail, or going to jail, are we now a third world country?

We just pay in dollars rather than pesos, and have, a lobbist do it, for the big corporations. Ban lobbits, and all those politicians, would not have a clue, as to what the constituents need.

Bribes happen in all countries, some at lower levels in society and others at higher levels of government. You need to look hard to find the "loooholes", to find the diferent ways that "BRIBES, MORDIDA" happen.

We just had a case, of a District Attorney geting off a DUI, the Police officer, also got caught, we can not be "hollier than daw", accept the fact that it happens, I do not suport the practice, I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution, to protect and serve.

Agree, and it is probably this poor schmuck's family who is T-Boned in an intersection by the 'Beautiful Person' who is speeding, with impunity, in the Porsche
