The base of the Oxygenics will turn to shut the water on and off. With soap on your hands it is a little difficult so that is why I installed the Danco 89171 shut off.
I will get a pic tomorrow. I used a budgie cord to tie ours in. The kind that has a knob and a loop cord on it. If has not yet ever come out of the holder. And ours is plastic.
We really like it. And like another poster said, I reused the OEM hose and screw it to the new head. Our OEM hose flexed better then the Ozy hose. And we have a push shut off down on the faucet. Does not 100% shut off.
Hope this helps

I ordered and installed that shut-off based on your post. I can't wait to try it out. The Oxygenics install has to be one of the easiest ones yet. Used the existing hose so it was just a matter of screwing the new head/valve onto the hose and putting it into the OEM holder. Turns out the Oxygenics head fit just right in the OEM holder and when the head is put in the holder in the furthest upright vertical position it's just barely below the ceiling, and I think that will keep it from jumping out of the holder during transport.
I'm tall enough that I can't shower with the shower head in the holder anyway. I have to stick my head up inside the skylight and one-hand the shower.
I didn't read all the posts so if the question of saving water has been answered, forgive me.
I don't believe they save water if you don't change the flow. If your main interest is saving water turn the faucet down so it feels the same as the old shower head. That will save water.
