I owned a 2009 Sundance 2800RK. I think you are heading in the right direction as far as quality. The Sundance/Greystone is the same trailer, the Greystone just has a nicer trim. My wife and I loved the floorplan, we still like it better than our our new triple slide. However, we traded up to a 2012 Sundance 3200RE the only reason is that the roads (I'm talking paved roads) raise havic with anything in the cupboards and refer of the rear kitchen while traveling. We had the door of refer break right off just a month after we bought it new and we broke many dishes. We begain traveling with the refer unloaded into an ice chest so things didn't brake in the frig. Our 2009 had shocks on it. So, unless the suspension has changed on the Greystone model you are looking at.
To a fellow Wyomingite beware of the RK.
The Heartlands are great products.
Good luck

What you are wanting to do would require basically a new heavier frame to be attached which wipe out the "lite" aspect! And it would be expensive to undertake.

The Superlites from Jayco are pretty nice, but I agree that they are likly not at all designed for the intended use you are seeking.

Best of luck - Greystone is a nice rig if you go that direction.

We have a similar weight Open Range and Lippert makes the frame. Lippert also makes a hitch that is specifically designed to bolt on our frame. Worked great and did not void our frame warranty.

I have a Wildcat. The hitch receiver came standard from the factory.

I had considered mounting a receiver hitch to my Keystone Cougar with a Lippert frame. I had found a bolt on receiver from Curt - a universal mount rv hitch with the necessary width. It's installation involved bolting to the face of the I-beam, through a plate placed on the opposite side. I never pulled the trigger as we went with a different bike rack but it looked plausible.

Best of luck and don't let the dealer talk you into anything...
