There are some products that you can buy that repels the dog or cat. Try sprinkling some around your site to repel "pests".

You're not a "pet hater" or any other kind of "hater".
You're just a person who respects the rights of others and are entitled to expect the same from them.
Or used to be so entitled.
Trouble is, everybody these days has an "entitlement" that exceeds the rights of anybody else that happens to occupy a sphere that the "entitled" person presumes to be theirs.
And so- your neighbors (via their dogs) poop in your campsite/yard because: they're entitled!
Any questions?

Home on Wheels wrote: They picked up their poop, but it's just the not right for them to just come walking right into your patio area and allow their dogs to do that in the first place. It's not like we are even friends. We live in an RV park and they are our neighbors.....they just moved in over the weekend. We were inside eating supper when they just come walking right over and then once the dogs to their business, they turn and go back into their rig. I'm sure they'll be out again later this tonight. Makes me want to change sites...but we like our site.
I'm glad I continued reading......
At first I thought some one was out walking their dog and it did it's business at the roadside area of your site. Oh Well..right.
Then I read your above post and thought.......are those people out of their *%&^$ minds.
It's one thing to invite others and pet over.....kinda expect pet is going to do it's business & they were invited.
But UNINVITED individuals just walking over, letting their dog squat right on patio area.........well I can only hope that they were coming over to introduce themselves (or chit-chat etc.) and noticed you were eating so they didn't want to disturb you and dog had to go. Then they picked it up......at least that's the way I hope it happened.
Otherwise.......them neighbors are some piece of work.
Just mention you noticed they came by.......thanks for picking up after dog.....then hope it doesn't repeat

When I first got my trailer I was staying at a local place and walked across someone's site. I had no idea that this was objectionable, as odd as that sounds now. Someone said something to me, and I never did it again. I realize that to you it seems like just basic common sense, but not everyone automatically understands this.
Sometimes a simple "Excuse me, this is not the dog walk area, this is our site." might be in order.

Maybe it was a one time thing, maybe they didn't intend for it to happen and they were just as embarassed as you were upset?
I have a small dog that gosh dang it, just has to poop on every walk we take. It's like a mission to her! I always carry my baggies and pick it up, but darn it all.......sometimes she'll pick the worse spots to stop and squat. Once they begin the process ain't much to be done except wait and clean up.
If they brought the dog back to your site again, I would say something to them. An accident is just that, an accident. Coming to your site for a potty stop on purpose is rude.

Thanks for all your replies. We certainly did not mean to get anyone upset over this. We just didn't know how to approach the subject. One thought is to wait and see if it happens again and then approach the issue.
Again thank you!

Home on Wheels wrote: That's what we thought, but how do you do that and not make your neighbor mad.....you know living next door to a bad neighbor can be worse than poop.
Why should you worry about making THEM mad? They made you mad and upset and obviously don't care that they let the dogs poop on other people's sites. At least they picked it up.
Go out next time and say "Excuse me...but I don't appreciate the dog coming over here to do it's business"
We go to RV parks now and that's all I see are tons of dogs squatting and pooping and peeing all over the place, it's getting disgusting.
We watched one woman walk her dog over to an empty site, it took a dump underneath the power pedestal...then pee'd all over the power post. Now someone has to go hook up their RV over there!

What ever happened to having a conversation with the person or persons who we feel like has taken advantage of a situation?
As for me, if it happens again I would approach this person with a friendly attitude and strike up a conversation. After a few minutes I would then bring up the fact that meeting good neighbors is a great part of RVing. Then I might continue and say something like "We have a dog(s) and we noticed you do as well. Let's work together to show our dogs how to be good neighbors, too. That way our pets will continue to be welcome at RV Parks."
Who knows? You might become wonderful friends.

My best bad owner was when an owner walked by my site...dog on flexi ...and they let it out on the lead and the dog pee'd on my little portable BBQ set well inside my site, on a small concrete block on the ground!
