Friends saw the travel channel show on Hawaii and they had Spam sushi on it. So they made some. Got the nori sheets and everything. Actually it was damn good although the folks put way to much vinegar in the short grain rice.

It's called Musubi. RandomMusubiRecipe

It's fantastic. Does require you to make pretty good sushi rice, and have a musubi maker (or use the spam can).

There is nothing wrong with a cold Spam sandwich. Slice it, mayo and mustard, slice of pickle on wheat bread. My favorite is diced Spam scrambled into eggs for breakfast or dinner.

My son gave me this recipe for the Kamehemha Burger:
1 can Hickory Smoked Spam
3 eggs
2 T flour
1 small can crushed pineapple, drained well (I squeeze juice out pineapple and chilies)
1 small can diced green chilis, drained well

Break up Spam to consistency of ground beef. Add all other ingredients; mix well. (I use my hands)

Make patties. Grill or fry. (I use grill pan on gas stove)

Serve on buns with cream cheese and lettuce leaves.

This is great!
I'm tracking them all...and getting hungrier by the minute.

Thanks to everyone, and keep 'em coming!

Thanks!

I'll check 'em out- but it's nice to hear how folks like to eat/fix it when camping!

Here's a funny recipe-related thing, though:
What got me to thinking about this was that my G-mail "Spam file" has an actual "real Spam" recipe posted every day, I guess by Google's auto-ads...

How funny is that?
