I'm looking at a set of 4 ST225/R75-15 Hercules for $480 mounted. They have an E load rating at 80 psi. I realize they are made in China like most other tires.

Les Schwab has the same tire but in a brand called Gladiator (same size and rating) for $536. (also made in China) I've actually heard good things about this tire.

My axles are rated at 5k and my trailer is 8500 loaded.

Thanks.

I have been running them on my big truck and low-bed for years zero problems. low-bed has 235/75-17.5 and I run them maxed out all the time.
Have them on my p/u and hauler now.

I have the gladiator version on my trailer and have no complaints. They seem to be wearing very well and there is no sign of cracking or drying out on the sidewall. I also got mine at Les Schwab when I bought the trailer, it was part of the deal so I am not sure what the dealer paid. I will be going on my second summer of use this year so we'll see how they do.

I have the same exact size you state and I believe the weight rating is #2830 per tire.

oh my goodness I can't believe you are using chinese tires. lol. Surpised many guys aren't complaining already. Personally I have smoe chinese tire on my toy hauler. I may put a 1000 miles on per year. Therefore they will dry rot before i even come close to wearing them out. I'd rather buy cheaper tires and be able to put new ones on every 5-6 years then pay double and hope they don't dry rot. I did go with a LT instead of ST. Both have load range E but I think LT will be smoother going down the road.

I ended up going with the Gladiators since Les Schwab gave me a great trade in price for my old tires. I love that place.

I'd prefer buying tires made in the USA but not at nearly $200 ea. I'm not worried about the quality of the Gladiators since they are used on half the horse trailers in Oregon. Thanks for the replies.
