I shopped the CW stores the first few years that I was involved in RVing, but got fed up with their bad attitude and exorbitant prices. However, I still use the CW website to search for items and ideas, and then make my purchase at the local independent RV supply store where the service is MUCH better, and the prices are far lower.

Actually, I am sorry to hear this. I have great respect for Traffords. They have a good reputation, and have been a good dealer for years. But since Carriage started having problems, Traffords has been struggling with other broadbased production brands. The fact that they will be in place to help manage CW will be good. But they will be held to enforce CW rules and reg's.
Also interesting is if you google Camping World in North Conway, NH you see a number of new job opportunities. From Sales Manager, Service Manager, product specialist, sales positions, F&I Mgr., etc. So the Traffords involvement may be short term or temporary just to get CW off the ground.
I have no problem with CW. And it will be good to see them in Conway. But sad to see Traffords go away.

It's amazing just how bad the haters can be on these websites when they're anonymous. If it weren't for Good Sam,Woodall's,Trailer Life,Camping World, you wouldn't have this forum to dispel your hate and dissension. If we didn't have companies like KOA,WAl-Mart,etc,you probably would go crazy looking for other places to spread your good cheer.
I have a friend that is retired military,is on social security and is retired from the city with a decent pension, and is now working for the county and all he does is complain about how bad ALL the governments are,how much the are stealing from him and how bad they treat him...Folks,we're talking about a QUADRUPLE government dipper here.

No problem with CW here. Sure I can usually beat their price on the net, but no way with the local suppliers. CW always seems to have what I need when I need it, don't mind paying a little more then.
So what is wrong with comparison shopping? If CW is too high and you can find it cheaper somewhere else, buy it there. I have been a CW card carrying member for I can't remember how many years. I make purchases locally, at home area as well as on the road; CW stores via mail order and now online and CW brick & mortar stores; even Amazon gets some of my business. CW is just like any other retailer some of the items are higher priced than another vendor; some items are priced lower. I could never say they were ALWAYS higher than anyone else because that is simply not true. Nor could I say my local suppler is ALWAYS cheaper than anyone else because that simply is not true either. YMMV

Wondering why they would be opening a store in Golden? They already have a large facility in Wheat Ridge, unless they plan on moving it. I think they have a sales lot in Golden, so maybe they're trying to consolidate? Now they have a small store in Longmont at K&C RV...wish that was a bigger store.
We were sup;posed to get one in Ventura Ca. closed the Stiers dealer I bought my rig from. Then the economy collapsed and they backed off doing the demo and building the new facility.
