from what i've read, this is true, unless the factory installed the receiver.
it really depends on whether the frame is a "lightweight" frame or not.

True, the dealer spoke directly with his contacts and it will void the frame warranty only....

Weighing that factoid - as I am wondering how may frames have you heard of failing unless you did something EXTRA ordinary like go thru a ditch @ 40 mph ?!? )

Appreciate the responses and do keep them coming as I am still deciding on the 100's of decisions needed to round out a new TT

FYI, MANY times I towed jeeps behind my rv's in the 80's but they were not built as lightweight as they are now, in fact most had real solid iron bumpers way back then (at least the ones I had
