It is cold here in Indiana. I am getting ready to head south in a couple of days and the fridge won't switch to gas when I unplug the house current. I have it on auto. I have tried it in the gas mode also. Any ideas?

Then I would start with cleaning any contacts and ground on the control board and incoming power. Then see what is getting power. Going to need frige info incase someone has the same frige can help you. Good Luck

Yes the gas is on, I lit one of the burners on the stove next to the fridge. It lit right up.

From the outside vent hole can you hear a clicking as the ignitor sparks when someone else turns it on gas? Make sure there is nothing shorting the ignitor out and still no sparking then take a match and see if it will light manually. If it lights with the match then remove the small screw that holds the ignitor in, wrap the white portion of the ignitor with electrical tape and put back in without using the screw to hold it in. You can buy a new ignitor on Ebay for $18.

Maybe the frig is cold enough and does not need the gas to come on. Give it a few minutes and then see if it lights.
