Hey Tony - Glad you can make it. We'll see you there.
There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.

We are in Quitman TX, near Lake Fork, having a metal building put up to house the RV, and a garage for the car, with a small apartment in the back. We have been delayed in getting started - heavy rains last week prevented the contractor from finishing up with the job before ours.
Be Safe!

Maria, Linda and I are about 30 miles from you in Lone Star (north of Longview). By the looks of the weather map, you guys are getting slammed pretty bad! Hopefully there are no tornados there today. Hang on, the weather will be much better by Thursday.
Hey Larry -
We are on our way to the Tiffin service center in red Bay, AL, and had to delay leaving because of the crazy weather! The wind on the east side of the front was incredible, and the rain on the back end was drenching. We left today, following the storm, and now we're west of Memphis, but tomorrow should be the last day of bad weather. Thanks for asking. And be safe you guys!

OK I have a tech question for all. Tom and I are now towing a Jayco with our 2006 F350 diesel truck. In our recent travels, we heard that when towing with a diesel truck the trailer should NOT have a deep cycle battery. The reason is while charging the battery, there is some kind of conflict with the altinator in the truck.

Any thoughts out there?
I don't think the alternator even knows what kind of battery it is charging. Shouldn't make a difference in my mind. But then, what do I know?
Today is my personal best for most consecutive days alive.

Along with what Larry said, it's my understanding that (basically) the Alternator just puts out a charge. What the recipient (battery) does with it (as long as there is nothing back feeding or shorting against the Alternator output) is of no concern to the Alternator. All of the (house) batteries on DP's are deep cyle batteries, and there certainly is no issue there.

We are at Streamside RV and Golf Resort this weekend. This is a place with a 9 hole golf course around the campground. Tom and I had a very nice fish fry for dinner at their restaurant. We will definitely be visiting here during the summer.
