I purchased a license plate camera from Pep Boys $80 3-4 years ago. Mounted it in place of the center running light near the top. It gives me a view of my toad and the road, although a bit small it works. I powered the camera on the running lights circut, so it requires that I have the lights turned on. The moniter is powered by a 12 volt plug in.
Note my motorhome is 30'.

It's a camera and you can install it anywhere there is 12 volts and you install the monitor less than 60 feet from the camera (that's how much wire comes with the ki) . The WEB SITE shows them installed on RVs busses commercial trucks, ambulances. If that is not good enough for them get a new dealer.
Armadillo 17....I am thinking of installing my camera on the license plate and getting 12v power from the license plate light. I think that would be just like yours...the lights would have to be on for the camera to work. How did you mount your camera to your motorhome? I will be looking for your reply. Thanks, Kit
