Only trailer I ever had a leak on was done with eternabond....factory said it was a perfect install yet it leaked....never again for me...only dicor. Also the more you wash the roof the shorter the life span. Both EPDM and TPO were NOT meant to be washed or treated.
I did the same as you are planning, and I am happy with the performance. Thought I'd had a leak there, but I was wrong; however, I did find the leak and others and repaired them with eternabond successfully, too.

Steve, I did my front end seam with the E-Bond. I bought the 6" wide. I suggest buying wider as 6" was only just barely wide enough. The E-Bond roll has a white vinyl type material that faces up, mine stays white and clean. As already metioned, I used Dicor to seal the edges.

This is the very first time I've heard something negative about Eternabond. It would seem to me that the factory didn't install it "perfectly".
I put a strip of it (6") on the front seam of my mh three years ago and have not regretted it once....well maybe when I had to clean all the old stuff off. But once I had the old stuff off and cleaned the area as directed by the instructions, the tape went down easily and once rolled to insure a good contact, I have yet to experience any lifting, peeling or leaking of any sort.
I think the key is removing all old sealer (regardless of type), insuring that the surface is absolutely clean, and applying pressure once the tape is down (preferably with a hard roller.

Has anybody left the metal screw strip off after a repair and just used
E-bond tape? From the top to bottom on the sides where the strip is screwed to front and shaped like an L to cover the side. Wonder how it would look? Thinking about trying it on the TT we are repairing. All the screws would be covered, no holes for future leaks.
