Awesome, I'm actually shopping for a salvaged one that my girls and I can build a cobra-cart out of. I'm just finishing my actual '65 Shelby (FFR Replica) Cobra big car project, and we thought it would be awesome to build a golf cart out of one. It'll require fiberglass fabrication and some frame work. Trying to figure out where to find the frame and rolling chassis though. Nice job though!

Nice project, those older Yamaha's are great carts, almost bullet proof. About the only weak think on them is the electrical and that isn't all that much.
I used to maintain fleets of carts and if some guys are looking for project carts, a local cart distributor/renter usually has a fleet in winter storage. These fleets are culled of old or problem carts periodically. I would be looking for an Ezgo, Club Car, or other major brand. Hats off to anyone brave enough to take on a Harley or old Cushman.

Can I ask which lift kit you used? I have a G22 gas that I am thinking of lifting "just a little bit".

This is one that I worked on a little. I didn't have much to spend so I found a 1990 EZGO that was 2-cycle, I wouldn't recommend because it is much louder than the 4-cycle models but it was what we could afford. I built the back seat, added LED lights to the cover and under the floor and led fogs light for night driving. We had it at a permanent site so we used it at night a lot. It was a fun toy. If you were wondering about the trailer I bought it from a coworker who had it in a barn. I couldn't find one anywhere like that.

Can I ask a stupid question? Where are you guys camping that requires
a golf cart? Sounds fun and I want to make sure I am not missing out.
I have not seen many in California but rumor has it that Arizona folks
use them to commute in.
BTW awesome job on the rebuild
