When we visit new Orleans we stay across the river in Westwego at the Bayou Segnette State Park. Clean, safe, secure and a shot drive to catch the free ferries that can take pedestrians across the river to Canal Street and into the French Quarter. Parking is available on this side of the river for a reasonable fee.

Good point! However, I do have a reason to go. My company is putting on a small convention. It is one we pay for. The motel is all non smoking and I really want to take my wife. She refuses to go to a 100% non smoking hotel and I DO NOT BLAME HER! I just hate the fact that my company picked a place like that.
Now, I can go or I do not have to go. I can stay some place else. I just thought I might drive the RV down instead of staying at the Day’s Inn.
