My vote is for the Sony NEX-5N.
It trumps the NEX-7 in low light performance and costs less.

But this photo indicates that it's from a Canon PowerShot S3 IS?
Whoops. Same trip, same file, friends camera! We shared the photos. Sorry for the mistake.

yep, instead of getting a nex 7 I got a C3, very few differences from the 5N and none that concerned me. considering buying another one instead of a 18-200 Tamron/Sony. I can buy the camera with the 16mm lens and put my 18-55 on one and 55-200 on the other.

Just a month ago, I got a Casio EX-H5 from Amazon for $128. 12 MP, 10X zoom (24mm wide -> 240mm) with good image stabilization. It comes WITH a battery external charger and a 2G SD card.
It is now $108. This is my third Casio. Nothing wrong with the others, just upgrading hardware.
HERE is a review..
Also from Amazon, I got a 2 pack of extra batteries (CS-NP-80) for about 3 bucks.
I've carried a small digital on my belt for the past 6-7 years. It is always with me.

The best camera to buy is the one where the wife says "Honey, lets get this one." ;-)
