I travel between 55 and 62. It seems to purr pretty good at 62. I stay in slow lane.

In the motorhome, I stick to within a few miles per hour of the speed limit, generally a few miles per hour over. Most of the highways we travel are 70 mph, so I generally stick between 67 - 75 mph on them. On smaller highways, I generally stick with the speed limit.
Towing the travel trailer, I generally stick to the speed limit, however on the 70 mph stretches, I usually do around 60 mph. I hate slowing folks down, but anything over 62 mph when towing and my mileage really drops.

In CA when towing I join the commercial traffic at 60-65 when outside of populated areas. I may have all day to play in the slow lane but I wanted a rig which would not work hard at truck speeds in consideration of the people who earn their living on the road. And yes, everyone knows about the split 55/65-70 speed limits in CA. In AZ and NM it is 70 where the limit is 70 as there is no CA CHP fudge factor practiced there. Then maybe a little more when the limit is 75. The Seneca is comfortable at that speed and with 80 gal of diesel available I enjoy spending them frivolously.

Interesting topic ,but pretty well what they do in Australia. Although a video test of a European chassis based Class C, had the tester say "You can comfortably cruise at 110kmh (70mph)". Few would do that, they are more interested in watching the countryside pass by.

62=65 on cruise if possible. In the hills 56-58 w/o overdrive, cause I Still don't like the sound of the V10 wrapping that hard.

Just was out today and gave the 2006 C some excercise. We have to travel on an interstate to get to where we are going but I always travel at 55. It's actually more comfortable as I'm not passing anyone and can keep it at a constant 55. The limit is 70, but as someone earlier said that means 75/ 80. I don't plan on being in a hurry, had too many years of that in a passenger vehicle. My motorhome motto, "Slow down and smell the Roses".

I try to stay at 55. Actually, that is the speed limit in California if you are towing. Also, Our Honda Fit Automatic has a limit of 65 while being towed. No matter, I still feel better at 55 and stay a long distance from the vehicle in front of me. I hate slamming on my brakes!!!

About 60-65, unless the speed limit is lower. My experience of Oklahoma and Texas highways with speed limits 70 or higher is not that most of the traffic is exceeding the speed limit by 10-15 mph. Drivers from states with lower limits may have that in mind, but it is not general practice and you will find zero tolerance enforcement where the posted limit is higher than the statewide limit.

I keep it at 60 to 62 saves fuel and seems to keep up with traffic,also my class C is on a chevy chassis and dosnt wind up and roar as bad as the Fords do having driven both my chevy is MUCH quieter.
