Well we did it just moved aboard. We have (you guessed it) way to much STUFF on board. I didn't think the MH was going to move. My mpg went from 7.5 to 6. This is our first stop and we about starting to unload some of the junk we thought we had to have?? The question comes up on ever item WHY did we think we needed this?? Just human nature I guess. Our next stop will be volunteering in a state park in southwest Texas for 2 months then on to our summer home as campground host in great state park in northern New Mexico. We have been part timing for 3 years and decided to go for it. If you see an Itasca MH on the side of the road that looks like the frame collapsed under the load, stop and say hi.

Congrats on your big move-in and for having some workamping already lined-up! Yes, we know the feeling of being a bit too overloaded - been there, done that. Now you have a good campfire story to share!
Happy Travels!

Congratulations! You could have a portable yard sale until you get down to fighting weight.

I know what you mean. DW & I did it this past July and are still unloading. DW equates it to the pioneers crossing the plains in a covered wagon. Leaving the piano in on town, the hope chest in another, kitchen equip along the trail. We seem to hit the Goodwill donation in every town we stop. I on the other hand have a whole toolbox of screwdrivers, on of nothing but sockets, one of just wrenches. What was I thinking????? Was going to have a rummage sale in Dec and then again in Jan. Still hasn't happened. I had the coach weighed after the move in. I told the DW is the good news is we are 500#s under GVWR. We have room for 500#s move STUFF, but it has to be loaded all on the right side. I wanted to take on 500#s of beer as ballast but then as the beer went down the weight would transfer to the left side (the side with the black tank). Good luck and wanted to let you know that you are not alone.

We will be park host at Maverick CG in Cimarron Canyon state park. Cimarron Canyon runs between Eagle Nest and Cimarron. This is our third year there, we love the area, the campers and the rangers. Great trout fishing and hiking. Stop and see us.
