I think that is their Sunforce model that has two 500w receptacles. One receptacle will not do 1000w.
Can Tire has several MSW inverter models made by Xantrex with house brand Eliminator, same as their Duracell branded ones. It is inconsistent with those how they do the receptacles, so you have to do some digging with tech support to find out.
Can Tire seems to rotate their inverter and battery charger inventory all year as to which is going for half price this week. If you are not in a panic just wait till the one you want comes up in the flyer.
Another sale they have now is a 30w solar panel set for $100 which is uually $250. That gets it closer to what the local solar stores are asking. Three of those would be 90w for $300 and an 80w panel can be had for $332. But also you can get a 125w Chinese one for $349. Still, that is an amazing price for Can Tire solar stuff, which is usually way over-priced.

I wonder if this is a sign solar prices are about to break here like they have in the States.

Got one today. The last one in the store I was in. Spent considerable time today comparing Xantrex PROwatt SW 1000, P.N.#806-1210, specs, pictures and manuals, and I am confident in saying the Motomaster unit is Xantrex PROwatt SW 1000 with some cosmetic changes. The only differences I could find besides GFI and cosmetic is an optional remote control, Xantrex P.N. #808-9001, which senses ignition while the Motomaster remote, which is included with the unit, does not. If this is important to you, I suspect the Xantrex remote would work with a Motomaster unit. Great price at $119.00. Tomorrow I am doing some testing.

Good info. It was two years ago they had their 1000w PSW as a re-badged Sunforce, so it is interesting that they have switched to a Xantrex model. Please test the receptacles to see if one can take the full 1000w.

Wow, what a coincidence. I picked this exact one up yesterday. Actually I had picked up the 1000w modified sine wave inverter back in January for $71 (regular $179). When I saw the 1000w pure sine on sale for $119 I picked it up and returned the modified sine version.
So I hooked this up to a couple of batteries yesterday to try it out, test the remote etc. Checked the current draw with no load and it seems to draw about 340 milliamps. Then I ran a 9 amp 120 volt vacuum cleaner off it with no issues so I don't think it is limited to 500 watts per plug.
But I did notice something. The fans don't appear to run when it is switched on, even under load. I'm hoping they just switch on when the unit heats up but haven't seen this yet. For others who bought this unit and tried it out, do the fans run when the unit is hooked up and switched on?

Thanks for the head's up on this inverter deal and the idea to exchange the 1000w MSW one I got last year as a trade in on the upgrade. ( Never thought of that or would have been stuck with the old one I never used except for the alternator charging trick a few times.)
This one will be mounted with the 2000w inverter up front I use now for "whole house" and the plan is to plug the trailer into the 1000w job now instead.
The Tv does not draw so many amps on the 1000w as with the 2000w (tests on that posted recently) as one advantage.
I will now just run an extension cord from the 2000w up front under the trailer to the back and through an access there, to plug the microwave in directly and anything else for the kitchen the 1000w won't handle. Too easy.
What a great deal! Thanks again!
PS there are several Can tire stores in town and all were sold out except one where I got it at store opening this morning. They said it was a "hot item" yesterday.

Well I just went out and bought one too. They were sold out everywhere and the sale just started yesterday. I had to drive way across town to the only store that had any left. I have my 4 Trojans in the garage so I will hook it up and see what it can and cannot run. Is my #4 welding cable big enough to put a 1000 watt load on it?

I have double #4 three feet long as spec for the 2000w, so single #4 about three feet long should be good for the 1000w IMO
http://boatandrvaccessories.com/VEC085D.htm
EDIT. the manual suggests using 25mm squared , 90cm long copper- clad aluminum cables. Too long and thin, you might damage the unit and get no warranty.
I haven't converted that 25 whatsit to AWG yet. Nor what the AWG would be for all-copper if any different. Hoping somebody else will
EDIT: seems #3 AWG is 26.7 and #4 is 21 so 25 is close to #3, but AFAIK thinner copper would be ok as #3 cu-al, so I am sticking with #4 copper as being ok. Unless somebody says it's not.
This thing even has a USB port that "powers and charges USB-enabled devices"
EDIT got it up to 770w on one receptacle on a quick test, so looks good for that. Will do a heavier test later to find the overload watts etc. It says it will run overloaded for about five minutes but not defined.
