Folks all the time ask how to get network (ABC, NBC, et-al) stations when they are hundreds of miles from home and out of their home "SPOT beam".
100% of these folks have Dish (or Direc) at home and are either using a spare receiver or taking their receiver out to the RV when they travel.
That is the wrong way to do it.
What is the right way?
You have Dish for your RV it appears. And wish to use the Receiver at home. This works, and works well, You have two choices and one caution.
First the caution: DO NOT TELL DISH. (they will want to bill you for a 2nd account)
The choices:
Use the same antenna you use on the RV, if you use a MOUNTED antenna on the RV and can park close enough, Great, if you use a tripod, and have a clear shot at the sky from your back yard it will work there same as at an RV park.
Option 2: Craig's list.. Get an antenna and "install" it . they are easy to install. Many posts on "how to aim a dish" works the same with a home dish as an RV dish.
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business

We have 3 receivers in the house. I was told by Dish Network that I could not remove any of the receivers from the home address shown on the contract. If I wanted to take one of the receivers in my RV, I would have to open another account

We have Dish at primary home and love it. We bought a winter townhome in az and travel there twice yr. We ordered a 'move' from dish and they came out and installed a 'new' dish and cable for free in az. so we bring the reciever back and forth, easy. Then we call Dish when we arrive to location and tell them to change zip codes so we get 'locals'. No extra charges! Love Dish.
Some of this info about Dish and them requiring 2 accounts is 10 years old. We have a S&B plus our RV, they are well aware that the RV has one receiver and the S&B has the other. We have ONE account with 2 receivers and have never had a problem with Dish. When we arrive at an area we plan on staying at for a week or more, we call Dish, give them the new zip code and they change our locals for us. When we get home, again we call Dish and tell them we are home to put our home locals back on line and within minutes it's done. I was carrying the spare receiver with us but Dish said there was no need for that, as they had it listed on their computer as residing in Meridian, so it now permanently resides there. They voluntarily upgraded the one in the RV last year and when they called, they asked where it was to be sent to, which was down here in TX.
Be straight with Dish and you won't have a problem. Try to play games with them and they will win......Dish does have a special RV division now, with a special phone number for them. Great to work with a group that knows what an RV is.

Incorrect..... The RV dept does not have a direct number. You will need to call 1-800-333-3474 and ask for the RV assistance.
Also, I am not allowed to remove any of our 3 receivers away from the home. Dish again advised that our contract does not permit that..... although the tech was honest to tell me that they have no way to track them.
You can get their Dish Network RV receiver for a one time fee of $40. It is a Model 211. For $499 you can purchase the complete package which includes, a KingDome tracking dish (one LMB), a mount, the receiver and cable. This dish will capture 110, 119, and 129 automatically. Sounds like a great idea as the cheapest Winegard CARRY OUT is over $600.

Sorry, but you are totally wrong....the 888-309-0370 is still the direct RV help line, answered in the US and to confirm it, I just called and talked to John. He assured me it has NOT been changed or discontinued. Also, if you call the 800-333-3474 number, you may or may not get an agent in the US, while the RV line is always answered by an agent in the US.

Not been my experience at all. Dish knows I have one receiver, Dish knows I take it from the house with me in the RV, and Dish has never told me I needed to open another account or pay more money to do so. Perhaps you should try the RV department number mentioned earlier in the thread. You WILL talk to someone who understands what you want to do and will help you do it.

They don't want to do things the right way, all they want to do is whine...........Dish knows my RV has a receiver that is on my house account and never has threatened me or taken any action.
