Since I am partial to the open range, i need to throw this one out for you:

Even has hookups for washer/dryer. If we had the truck, my husband would be in trouble!

As far as our TT, we have had it for 1 1/2 years and it has been great. Took it to Yellowstone and back during the fall and everything was great.

We looked at this TT at the Houston RV show last weekend. If I was ready to buy a new TT, this one would be on the short list.
But, we still like our Passport 2850RL and might meet the specs of the OP>

I would get something with slides on both sides, and the entertainment center under the large rear window. And get the new truck first, not the RV.

If not dual rear slides, then a slide front bedroom like the Rockwood 8314.

Hmm, this looks great! Crossroads Sunset Trail CT30REX:

The problem with the floor plans above is I will not have a TV blocking the view of my rear window. I enjoy my view out the back window when the weather forces us to stay inside. That's why they make so many floor plans - everyone has their own opinion.

We have a 2008 Forest River Sierra 29RL and love it. Its huge inside. When we go out it does not seam like camping. I would recomend this to anyone, Only one full time bed, but there are only two of us.

Great thread. We have been looking at these RL units for a few weeks now, both new and used.

There seems to be two different versions of the RL in the various models at around 30', one with a slide that goes out quite a bit, and another where it doesn't go out as far. The former has a lot more room, but latter is lighter.

An example model where the slide doesn't go out too far is the Keystone Passport 285RL. I'm not sure if these are available new or not. The Keystone Passport 2850RL has the slideout that extends farther.

We have been in quite a few of these and like the larger, but heavier version. They have quite a bit more room.

There are other variations also, like the Springdale that has a sofa in the back by the window, and a smaller slide. Those also nice.

The slide on my Hornet 29RLS is 36" x 13'. The big slide is a nice feature for living space

The bedroom is a little different wit the slideout and the mirrored sliding door closet, but our 277RL Outback is just right for the two of us and tows easily with my Tundra.
We also looked at the RE, but I didn't care for the TV popping up in front of the picture window.

We have a KZ Spree 323 RLS that works fine for us. It is not made any more but they modified it by adding a closet in the bedroon which is a gret addition. If I were in the market I would seriously consider the new model. I saw it a couple of weeks ago at the local RV show and was really impressed.

I only need to see outside or the TV. As long as the TV drops out of site, I prefer that instead of chairs in front of the window.

We just got a Jayco 32RLDS...its very nice with a large living area, rear picture window with two recliners, and a large bedroom with a slide. We do have to go through the split bath to get to the bedroom but it is huge compared to the Amerilite we traded in. BUT, it is loooooog...36 feet, and heaaavvvy...about 8600 dry and we are pulling pretty close to the GVW of 10,500.
